November 03:05
oh, november i didn't want you to arrive the cold air settles and the darkened evening skies and i'm alone and the sun has left my sight in the bitter cold i walk angry through the night fall is meant for falling to the ground and all we're meant for through death only is found in desperation in the death of our sin we find that we are given a brand new, holy life oh, november i didn't want you to arrive the cold air settled and it went and changed my life
3.
i'm sitting in the window made alive by what i see i've decided to stay inside i'm afraid to be free free so free you made us free, so free lord, call me outside break this brittle unbelief i can walk as you walk i can be your hands and feet free so free you made us free, so free
4.
Simple Pain 03:55
oh, all this simple pain i will make it through this agony i have so much in you i have so much love in you oh, all this simple pain it knives into the backs of many men oh, all this simple pain it drives me to the edge of my own faith oh, i can't take it i don't understand i can't take it my depression over man oohh all, all this simple grace it comes and rescues every single day oh, i can't take it yeah i can't take it the sun is in my eyes i can't take it the sun is in my eyes
5.
Room 03:30
cutting words, cutting lives cutting love, cutting ties subtle hates, subtle crimes subtle breaks, subtle binds in walks the fire of urgency we walk down from our thrones into the place where beggars be we are not our own bottled hearts, bottled minds bottled love, in bitter times selfish strains, selfish lines selfish love in a selfish time in walks the fire of urgency we walk down from our thrones into the place where beggars be we are not our own room on your knees, i proclaim you cannot change a thing lift your hands up to the sky desert rains in your eyes in walks the god of agency he walks down from his throne into the place where beggars be all to bring us home room
6.
oh, fear's so strong it can keep us from movin' on walkin' circles in one room and now i'm thinkin' about what looms i can't save myself and i need so much help will i lie down? will i lie down my arms? if you're lookin' for one ounce of hope in this crazy world don't give into your doubts 'cause faith is comin' down you can't save yourself but god gives so much help will you lie down? will you lie down your arms?
7.
i want to talk to you i want to see and feel you i've been crawlin' around i've been fallin' down i need you i need you i need you i need you oh lord i desire to love and follow you more i'm so bad i know that i'm so bad but you're so much more you're so much more than i can understand i want to know what you can do in this fading life i know that you make water to wine
8.
god moves in a mysterious way his wonders to perform he plants his footsteps in the sea and rides upon the storm you fearful saints, fresh courage take the clouds you so much dread are big with mercy and shall break in blessings on your head judge not the lord by feeble sense but trust him for his grace behind a frowning providence faith sees a smiling face his purposes will ripen fast unfolding every hour the bud may have a bitter taste but sweet will be the flower blind unbelief is sure to err and scan his work in vain god is his own interpreter and he will make it plain god moves in a mysterious way his wonders to perform
9.
lately i have stared into the darkest spaces that i have ever known and this is my own soul i've spent hours and hours day after day staying in what's wrong how can this keep on? and i'm tired of myself i wanna lose this hell and i'm trying like hell but i can't change myself and i get stuck on things that i can't let go i'm tired of this world and so many of the people that i know i mean how can you ignore all the ugly things you do and you stroll around like nothin you don't care what people have been through and i'm tired of this world some days i hate this world yeah i'm tired of our world cause i just fall in
10.
what is this world coming to? what is this place where i found you? how is our time here gonna end? oh i know i need you friend so let it out let it in oh i know i need you friend let it out let it in oh i know i need you friend

about

Nate Miller's "fall is meant for falling to the ground" is "an amiable mix of up-tempo folk-rock and lovelorn Americana adorned with piano, organ, horns, pedal steel and strings. It was produced by Nate Vaughan, who plays on the album along with more than 15 other contributors, including cellist Anna Su, who provides background vocals on 'The Darkest Spaces'" (Kevin Bronson: Buzzbands, LA).

"Nate's artistry rolls up powerful song stories, soaring arrangements, and amazing production into a gift for your heart and ears" (Joe from Simi, fan).

"Nate Miller's voice is clear and clarion - like bird song on a sunny morning. His songs speak to our simplist desires - to find the good, to live in hope, to abide in love. One of my favorites" (Andi Cumbo-Floyd, Writer, andilit.com).

"With his new release, 'Fall Is Meant for Falling to the Ground,' Nate Miller, a Los Angeles based singer-songwriter, combines powerful vocals with stripped down orchestration. The result is a collection of ten songs that resonate, allowing the space between notes to speak the clearest. Miller received contributions from a diverse group of musicians, including cellist Anna Su and guitarist Nathan Vaughan who produced the album. While Vaughan and Miller employ an array of instruments (piano, organ, horns, pedal steel, strings), they keep the instrumentation simple, spotlighting the voice and words. Miller sings with a somber, yet pure, voice which rises to an effortless falsetto. The words could be described as heartbreakingly beautiful" (Michael Green, Writer).
